do you tip the yard crew?

Do you tip your lawn crew? I have one guy who mows and I've never tipped him. I've also employed a crew who come once a month to week and clean up the plant beds. I'm reeling a bit from how expensive it is. I just hired a new to clean up the yard and it seemed they were expecting a tip. They will be coming monthly and I've never tipped in the past. I've asked my neighbors who use a crew to weed etc and they don't tip either. I normally don't see the guys at all when I have this done.
