| We tried a variety this year and it turns out that my 7 year old son liked the cheapest one the best - basketball camp at the local recreation center through MNCPP. Any surprises for you? Or do you have tried and true camps for next year? |

Loved (for the 1st time) summer playground program at Bond Mill - 6 year old girl |
| gymkana at umd is great. Just Rock in Hyattsville. Ancestral Knowledge wilderness camp. Impulse city. |
| We tried the half-day camp for preschools, called Wee Wonders, at the nearest rec center and my kid absolutely loved it. |
| We liked Maryland International Day School Spanish Immersion camp. |
| 4h center in upper Marlboro has a camp |
How did this work? The summer playground seems almost too good to be true. |
| Brentwood Arts Exchange camp was terrific. It's through the park district. |
| Our kids have gone to Grand Tiger martial arts on Allentown Road for the past 3 summers and loved it! The hours are great 6:30 am-6:30 pm, the cost reasonable (I think under $200/week), sibling discount, trips daily, and no separate fees for trips because they have their own transportation and you just have to get Six Flags season pass. As a parent, I really liked Master Parks' manner with the kids, the printed calendar of the weekly sxhedule, the text messages to remind us about bringing bathing suit etc, just really organized safe and fun. Great after school program too. They learned Tae Kwon Do, got their black belts. |
