Hi Everyone,
I am in the process of building a home and we are planning all of the wiring options at this time. If you have a central vac system, do you use your vacpans (those outlets in the cabinet toekick that suck up all the dirt you sweep in them) ? If you use your vacpans, what rooms do you have them in? Our system comes with one in the kitchen and the rest of our outlets are the type for the hose. I was wondering if anyone else has them in mudrooms, bathrooms, etc. I've had central vac before but never one with vacpan style outlets. Thanks! |
We love ours. We only have it in the mudroom (adjacent to kitchen). I regret not putting one in our master bath where the kitty litter box is.
Are you using a hide-a-hose system? It's much better than carrying the hose around. |
We have a vacpan but rarely use it. I haven't found a broom that captures the dog's hair efficiently enough to make it worthwhile. I just vacuum the floors instead. On another note I second the PP's comment about hide-a-hose. That's what we have and it's LIFE CHANGING (I know - pathetic) when it comes to vacuuming...love just pulling the hose from the wall, doing a quick clean, and then sucking the hose back into the wall. So quick! Definitely go with hide-a-hose when putting in a central vac system! |
