Opinions on DCJCC preschool

Anonymous
My daughter is 13 months old and I am just starting to think about DC pre-school options. I've heard very mixed things about the DCJCC and would love to hear more. Those who have had both positive and negative experiences. Any and all information welcome!

Thanks!

here is the latest thread that I've seen about the DC JCC on this website:

We are likely going to send DC to DC JCC this fall. The director has been really responsive in her communications with us. The facilities are great. The children seem happy and engaged. We also like the Reggio approach. We are vaguely Christian, but not at all concerned about the Jewish content (seems focused on social responsibility aspect of the religion). We were hesitant at first based upon some earlier threads on the DCUM website, but after talking to parents who currently have their children there, and taking a tour ourselves, we are heavily leaning towards the DC JCC. Good luck!

Be aware of the school closing schedule. Because it is a religious based school, there are a lot of closings that do not coincide with the Federal Holidays.

We're sending our 2.5 year old there in September as well. Liked the facilities and the way the school interacts with the neighborhood; though the Director and parents we met were very involved and always working to make the school even better. We're excited about it.
