Mount Vernon high school sol scores ...:possible cheating

Anonymous
Someone how Mount Vernon High School needed a 69.50% to be fully Accredited for the following school year. (2015-2016) So the math scores SOLS for mount Vernon high school are now at 69.56=70% to do rounding! I don't know how they did it. Since their scores were at 69% in 7-13."
After looking at the data from July 13,2015 and July 24, 2015. Mount Vernon High School is the only school THAT had 21 additional yes 21 additional Sol test. taken from July 13 to July 24, and somehow they all passed. 90% of school had the same test numbers. from the data of July 13th to July 24th.. .
A couple school added up to 4 new students took a SOL and passed it. I think 21 is way over the top.
What are your thoughts? If you care about this as I do. Please email

God I hope you aren't an English teacher.

Low achieving high chools like Mt Vernon High School and close by neighboring city have always pushed the numbers game on the SOL. Administrators call them "adjustments".

Thats why so many parents know it all a SOL game. You'd think VDOE would know too.

Well not being fully accredited means they would suck away more resources from other schools.

WTF??? Maybe they passed because they had extra time. Why are you so he'll bent on screwing this school?

because is not fair that they reach "70" when they didn't earned.

You have nothing that shows that they didn't earn it. That high school is in a highly transient area so you could get a rush of new students who came in late.

Please post a link to the data you are looking at so I can look at it. Your post is so poorly written I can barely comprehend what you're trying to say. It would be helpful to have the original data source before I rebut your original post.

Or maybe the Super Saturday tutoring of 3 or more hours each Saturday for 2 months had a good effect.
Or the prayer people in the community were offering up the school had a good effect.
Or expecting students to do math homework had a good effect.
Or/And the other numerous and small ways in which there were contributions to the team effort.

So thank God for the intersession of the Virgin Mary and the saints. Thank God that Mount Vernon HS is fully accredited now.

Why do you care? Is your compensation somehow tied to if MVHS is accredited or not?

Couldn't care less. Let them all cheat. Hopefully it will hasten the end of this stupid "accountability" movement.
