Stick vacuum recommendations?

| I love my Miele, but boy, is it a pain to lug around. For everyday vacuuming, I would love to find a lighter stick vacuum. Is there one you would recommend for someone who sheds long hair, which tends to tangle rotary vacuum parts? |

| Which Miele do you have? I thought they were lighter than uprights? For light cleaning, I like the Electrolux stick vac with the handvac that pops out of the body of the stickvac. Again, not for heavy duty cleaning, but great for picking up hair and dust from hardwood. |

| Was just looking at vacuums on consumer reports. Their highest ranking stick vacuum is the Dyson V6 ($300 - cordless). Next is the Shark Rocket HV302 ($180 - corded). Then the Hoover Platinum LiNX BH50010 ($160 - cordless). All got excellent marks for picking up pet hair. |

| Love our Dyson DC59 Animal stick vac...it's actually on Woot today for $229 as a re-manufactured deal. I think I paid close to $400 at BBB for mine last year so $229 is quite a deal! |
