I usually just have filtered drinking water from the fridge, but lately the DC water has been terrible for my skin and hair.
Instead of buying a shower filter, I thought I might install a home purification system in the basement, so all the taps would be covered. Does anyone have a system like this? |
Yes we do. Our Culligan one exploded so we replaced it with a passive carbon filter (company located on Eastern Shore, can't remember name). It works fine, no maintenance except for 2 year switching of carbon. |
I'm interested in this as well. If anyone has installed one, can you remember how much the installation process cost? Was there anything surprising you had to deal with? |
Please just make sure you don't fall for the Rainsoft scam ( starting with a free water "analysis" offered at Home Depot.) |
