Any info on Hope Community Lamond Campus, off of Kansas Ave? I haven't read anything about it on this board. They don't seem to have a lottery but it seems to be a newer building. Thanks. |
My son attends Hope, Lamond Campus. This is his first year and his teacher Mr. Henderson is outstanding. If you apply to Hope I would recommend requesting Mr. Henderson. He keeps the children engaged and he is in tune with the parents needs. The school is very clean; however like any school it has it's problems. My pet peave is communication. I think they could communicate with the parents a lot more. |
My child went to Hope Lamond last year for preschool (prek3) THe ECE (prek3, prek4 and K) is excellent. The upper grade are much less desirable. The principal has an issue with communication. She does not respond to email. I would recommend that school for prek3, prek4 and k. After that I would send my child somewhere else. |
My daughter went to the Hope Tolson campus. She was briefly at the Lamond Campus, but that was almost three years ago so any info I have is old and dated but I'll provide info for what its worth.
In general she had a positive experience in the PreK program (She was there for two years Prek 3 and Prek4. Her first teacher was excellent, the second teacher not so much. Same with the aides. I pulled her though once she was going to start kindegarten because I felt the school lagged in academics, communication, and classroom behavior management. If you are looking for a preK program for socialization, etc. then I think Hope is fine, but I personally wouldn't continue in the upper grades unless the leadership has changed dramatically. |
