JSSA AND JCCGW INTRODUCE TWO NEW SUMMER SOCIAL SKILLS CAMP OPTIONS
JSSA (Jewish Social Service Agency) is very excited to be collaborating with the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington (JCCGW) this summer in offering - for the first time - 2 specialized social skills summer camp programs: The BFF Club! - Building and Fostering Friendships. JSSA is a non-sectarian provider, serving peple of all religious and ethnic backgrounds. The camp is offered at the JCCGW, 6125 Montrose Road, Rockville, MD as both a 3 week enrichment program and an intensive 2 week GAP program for children ages 8-10 (Grades 2-4). The BFF Club is appropriate for children with social skills deficits, anxiety disorders, ADHD and high-functioning Asperger's. Led by JSSA child and family social workers, the camp offers children important skills for making and keeping friends. Content will be based on JSSA's social skills group model and on the curriculum developed for our successful Camp Shalom, the JSSA-JCC of Northern Virginia social skills camp now in its third year.
