| Any recommendations as to affordable kid friendly places to stay with 3 kids 10, 6 and 3? My budget is a max of 150/night. We plan to go down Friday evening. Go to Port Discovery on Saturday and the aquarium on Sunday before heading back. We've already been to the science center. Any other recommendations will be most appreciate. I plan on driving but may take the Marc if driving turns out to be too expensive. Thanks. |

I don't think MARC runs on weekends - the schedules say M-F only. Amtrak won't be cheaper than driving.
Inner harbor/fells point /harbor east hotels tend to be more than your budget (or not so great...). The inn at the colonnade is by Johns Hopkins. It's in your price range and nice - clean, safe, pool etc. parking will also be cheaper outside of the tourist area. Hop on the circulator or grab a cab to get to the harbor if you don't want to park. Hopkins is NOT near the harbor so not walkable. But that neighborhood is much nicer than it was a decade ago. The inner harbor has an attraction to tour the historic ships. There are discounts on cheap Baltimore.com (or something like that). The b&o railroad museum has 1/2 priced tickets on certifikids this week. Good luck. |

Use hotwire - you can get a 3 or 4 star hotel for under $100.
Breakfast at Blue Moon Cafe - captain crunch french toast! https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=blue%20moon%20cafe%20baltimore&es_th=1 Also, Joe Squared Pizza across from Port Discovery is really good. |
| Where are you traveling from? |
Thanks for all suggestions. We'll be traveling from DC. I tried Hotwire but no luck with the 4 star hotels.
