Did you and your young elementary school kids prefer Minions or Inside Out?

Taking my two boys (ages 6 and 9) to the movies in a couple of hours. We rarely go to the movies so the other one we will wait until it cones out on DVD. We are deciding between Minions, Inside Out, and my husband wants me to consider Jurassic World (which I vetoed due to being to scary for young kids). Which movie did you and your kids enjoy?

The kids preferred Minions. I preferred Inside Out.

Boys would probably go for Minions over Inside Out.

Minions is delightfully stupid.

Inside Out is too much about feelings.

I preferred Minions as did my kids.

Minions but my husband and six year old saw it and did not like it compared to the old ones.

Both my boys preferred Inside Out - as did I. Hands down much better movie - and a great way to give a vocabulary to kids who don't understand their feelings.

My 8 and 10 year old boys liked Minions better. It is definitely silly, but that appeals to that age!

10 yr. old daughter and I much preferred Inside Out, but younger kids might prefer Minions.

DD loved Minions, and while we loved the 2 Despicable Me's, we found the Minion movie a bit on the dull side (I also wasn't thrilled the narrator called the one Minion an idiot). Haven't seen Inside Out though it's on my list.
