Large area rugs

We are looking to by an area rug that's 10x14. The rug will be used in a high traffic area and is also a play area, so it needs to be durable and comfortable.
Any suggestions? What kind of fibers would you recommend? I'm hoping to spend 500 but I'm probably underestimating the cost of a good rug. Thanks! |

| For a play area you can get a nice bound Berber at Home Depot for under $500. If you want wool it would be more than that. |

Are you in the DC area? Check the remnant room at Carpet One in Alexandria.
We have several area rugs that were remnants from there, they bind them for a fee. The prices are like $2-10 a foot depending on the carpet. We ha e 2 that are at least that large and one larger. |
