Considering adding high velocity.
1. Do you like and would recommend? Or would you have preferred traditional ac? 2. When is best and cheapest time to get it installed 3. Company recommendations? Thanks! |
We have a single family house in DC and had Sila install high velocity. It works well and seems to be efficient as our electric bill is surpassingly reasonable. We had it done during the winter, but not sure if that was a good time or not. Cost $18k. Don't regret the decision, very happy we didn't have to add ductwork. |
I don't like it. It is too cold in the jet radius. Also there is no "ductwork" but our closets have the insulated tubing just sitting there. Maybe the previous owners cheaped out on it but I don't like it. |
We're happy with the one we installed in our row house though it's true that if you're standing under the vent it gets cold. Be careful not to place the vents right over a bed etc. |
I installed one in my rowhouse in Bloomingdale. Loved it! I used Rich Abernathy from Air Cool and Heating Systems. The company was very professional. Highly recommend them. |
