Cool down after workouts

Anonymous
This came up in the thread about working out and now breaking out -- I did not want to hijack so I am starting a fresh thread. When I work out in the morning, shower, and get ready for work, I can't cool down enough to stop sweating and be dry to get my clothes and makeup on. Does anyone have any tips on how to accomplish this. I stopped working out in the morning because of this problem and am now not working out since I am too exhausted after work and kid duty in the evening. And I have to put on a suit and pantyhose every day for work -- leave my house and go straight to a court appearance every morning.

what about having the shower be as cold as you can stand it?

Some gym locker rooms have really big, powerful fans. I've found that if I shower and then stand right in front of the fan for a couple of minutes, it really helps cool me down enough to put my clothes on without sweating through them.

Also agree with a lukewarm to slightly chilly shower.

Also, if you can wait to put your suit jacket and makeup on till you get to where you're going, that might help. Maybe pare down your routine so you can do it in a couple of minutes in the bathroom at court? I generally just skip makeup if I'm having trouble cooling down, but that's not an option for everyone! (I have a casual-ish workplace and nobody really cares how I look.)
