We would like to share information on our 2- year old daughter's daycare, called Harsha's Childcare Center, a licensed in-home Daycare in the North Potomac/Rockville Area. As the group of infants are turning into toddlers, they have openings coming up.

The daycare is owned by a genuinely warm, loving, and nurturing and Indian couple named Harsha and Rajen Purohit. Harsha and Rajen genuinely love our daughter and all of children that come to the daycare. The children are always happy at drop off and pick up. Sometimes my daughter doesn't want to leave to go home at pick up time as she is really comfortable there. The moms I talk to have also been very happy. The turn over at this daycare is low.

Harsha is also a great cook (used to be a caterer). She provides freshly cooked nutritious vegetarian lunch and snacks to all the children. Harsha has also done a great job with potty training our little one who just turned 2, who has been using the potty for around 3-4 months.

Languages spoken are English, Hindi and Gujarati. Harsha is stronger in Hindi and Gujarati, and her husband Rajen speaks all 3 languages. Our daughter is learning words in English and Hindi. They do a great job with teaching children colors, numbers, counting, etc., and offering them age-appropriate books and toys. They take the children to the adjacent parks every day for walks and play ground trips Spring thru Fall and weather permitting in Winter. We have found the daycare to be really clean, and our little one stayed healthy through the winter months. Harsha cleans out the kids potty seats in between uses.
