Road trip to Tennessee Schools...what other schools along the way?

Anonymous
Focused on Sewanee and Rhodes, with Vandy as a stretch school. Knowing that, what other schools should we take in along the way, and while you're at it, suggested route? We have about 2 weeks. Thanks!

UVA, VA Tech, Wash & Lee, UT Knoxville, App State, UNC Asheville are the only ones I can think of vaguely on the way.

It's too bad you are going during the summer. Here is what I like about Rhodes; internship program, proximity to Memphis.

My son is at Sewanee and loves it. In the middle of nowhere.

Liberty University, Carson-Newman, and Virginia Intermont are right on the way.

Unless you are a hardcore evangelical, why would anyone consider Liberty?

Sewanee Mom, I assume your son looked at Rhodes too? What swayed him towards Sewanee?

We looked at Rhodes. Didn't even apply. He liked the look and feel of Sewanee. Rhodes is a great school, just didn't click for us. Sewanee is isolated, rural and outdoorsy, full of traditions and southern. Not necessarily right fit for everyone. The head of the school is doing good things and bringing in lots of good people.
