Recommend your heart rate monitor

I'd like to invest $50-$100 in a good heart rate monitor for use while running or at the gym.

OP here. Polar keeps coming up with my research so it looks like that's the one to go with! Now to decide between the F4 and the F6. I can't wait to start using it!

OP here again. Do I have to purchase the transmitter separately in order to use the heart rate monitor? It seems odd that the website would not indicate that, but...

Nope...transmitter (usually around the chest strap) comes with the watch.

OP here. I ended up going with the Polar F6. It just came in the mail about an hour ago and I'm already in love with it! Aah, I need a new obsession.
