Are the leaves on the trees changing/falling where you live?

Anonymous
I noticed this in the past couple of weeks, but especially the past week - lots of leaves on lots of trees are turning yellow/orange/brown and falling. I'm not necessarily complaining - I LOVE Fall, and it can't come soon enough! But this seems especially early, especially given all the rain we've had.

Anyone notice this? Or know what's going on with the trees?

No, they might be burning out from the heat, but they're not turning colors for the fall. Or maybe a blight.

We have one type of tree in our yard that always starts turning/dropping leaves this time of year. It's not blight - it happens every year. It is a tree that had white blooms, then dark red berries. Not sure what it's called.

Yes. I find it depressing. And to pp, we have had a few very hot days, but it hasn't been THAT hot this summer.

No, of course not. It'summer.

I'm loving this summer. No leaf change here

The trees I've seen that are dropping leaves are water stressed.

It is a normal response during heat and drought. So we went from something like 13" of rain in 6 weeks to no rain, combined with last week's heat.

Looking out at a sea of tall green trees here.

Our trees are getting eaten by something and the leaves are chewed up.

I have noticed the leaves changing as well. It's normal if it hasn't rained in a while.
