Aruba, where to stay

If you were going to Aruba with an infant and a 4 year old, where would you stay and why?

Marriott Surf Club! I was just there in April and its awesome. It's a timeshare - part of Marriott Vacation Club - but you can pay cash through Marriott.com or rent a week through redweek.com. You can get a 2 bedroom unit which includes a full kitchen plus a washer and dryer in unit. I didn't travel with kids but I think this setup would be ideal. The resort also has many pools, a lazy river, I think a playground, and many scheduled activities for kids!

The Hyatt Regency and The Marriott are very nice! I walked through the Ritz and didn't think it was all that, at least not for the price tag.

Wherever you stay, make sure to take a walk to Eduardo's beach shack. They have fresh fruit bowls and smoothies. I got introduced to Pitaya bowls while I was there, delicious!

We stayed at the Marriott Surf Club a month ago. The facilities were fine, but it was like being at the Jersey shore with palm trees.

LOVE Eduardo's! Those acai bowls are amazing. We stayed at the Radisson and really liked it. It just got purchased by Hilton. The property has a tropical feel and tons of parrots/live birds in cages throughout that they let out once a day for guests to take photos with/feed. My 2 year old loved it and still talks about it a year later.

I stayed at The Radisson too! it was nice, and had spacious beach front property! The birds we fun to look at- the food at the resort it self was not that great, but Aruba is not the kind of place where you only stay in one resort.

We do the budget option at Manchebo Beach. Not fancy. Mostly Dutch guests, but clean, good facilities and a great beach.

We were at the Aruba Surf Club and the kids loved it. It was a little too crowded for us, but nice to have the apartment and the pool was nice. We walked down to the Ritz and rented equipment one day which was fun. The beach area there is a lot more serene. We had looked into staying there but it was a lot more expensive - triple the Surf Club.
