We are down to the final 2 selections. We have a small 3 year old and a 4 mos old.
Bob seems enormous, and a little heavy, but comfortable. City Mini is shorter and feels like it will take Safeway and Target runs better, but I don't know if it can handle long walks, riding up onto mulch, parkscapes, etc. Like many people, we've aleady accumulated the Bugaboo and Bob single (so we are familiar with how those manuveur). I need something that I can walk with for up to 20 minutes straight with both kids. Like from Westmoreland Circle to Turtle Park. Westmoreland to Mazza Gallerie, etc. I also need something that will be comfortable for 2 years since my toddler is so petite. Any thoughts on picking which one? At this point, the storage space or cost is not a factor since I never thought that we'd be spending this on a double to begin with! Also, for those with infants in both - how did you prop them up in the stroller? My baby just slid down at the showroom. And on the Bob can you shift the infant seat over across the bar when the toddler gets out (on the way home from morning drop-off) so that the weight is more centered? I really wish stores rented out strollers for people to test-drive....! And has anyone checked out the Jane Powertwin Tandem? |
| i can't speak to the doubles issue but i am former bugaboo owner (loved it) and current city mini owner (single). i really like the city mini and i think it compares favorably to the bug. i've also had a mac and i like the city much better. i don't have a car, so i walk my a$$ off and the mini does the trick. |
| I used my friend's Bob Duallie on vacation and it was amazing. Pushed like a breeze, even with two heavy kids and loaded down with beach gear/lunch, etc. I also have a Bob single, so I am probably biased. The newer Bob has a 70 percent recline, so maybe that will make it easier with baby. I have an older model and put a rolled up towel on each side of baby to prop her up in the Bob. |
| While I know you narrowed it down to 2 strollers, I encourage you to consider the Mountain Buggy double if you are thinking about the BOB. The MB is great, useful, perfect for the walks you mention, I love mine- and while it is a bit "more" of a stroller to fold and put in the car, it is doable and worth it. I encourage you to consider this in your decision- a don't know any MB owners who would say they didn't think it was a good purchase! GOod luck! |

I have a Bob Revolution Dualie and my girls are 2 1/2 years apart. If only one child is in it, it still steers beautilfully - straight with no problems. My one complaint is that I didn't think my Graco Snugride fit so well on the infant bar (no, you cannot shift it over). It always seemed like the seat was a little tipped. I didn't end up using it much with the infant seat. It's better now that they are both riding in the same direction. Also, there are two separate shades. I'm sure many would like this - one kid sleeps while the other looks around or whatever, but my girls prefer to see each other.
Aside from the weight, it's incredibly smooth. |

The bob duallie is the best double, imo.
Handling is awesome, it feels light to push even with heavy kids in it..just great. It is a little bulky/heavy for carrying but not burdensomely so. |
| love our bob revolution duallie. We started in it when they were 2.5 and 6 months, and now they are 3 and 1 (both big kids) and it stil handles great even loaded down with a ton of crap. It pushes easily into storefronts (fits in standard 33 inch doorways) which is great for long walks when you might stop for coffee, etc. When I see people with the city mini double, however, I get jealous that they can navigate store aisles better and also travel easier with it. If those are important ffactors or you, maybe skip the Bob cause of its weight and size. But, for outside journeys, the Bob is better -- can handle rough terrain. I got a used double Maclaren on craigslist so I had a double for travel. |
| Hello friends.I have read some good reviews about Bob Revolution Duallie and Baby Jogger City Mini Double. When I visited www.icoobaby.co.uk to purchase Mickey Bungee Deluxe I saw both of them.I think both have equal merits and demerits. But, I feel Bob has edge over Baby jogger. |
| I have the Bob Dualie and think it can't be beat for walks/runs around town BUT it is very heavy and bulky and you won't want to use it for errands. If you really need 1 stroller for everything, you should get something lighter than the Bob. If you can swing it, get a Bob for neighborhood stolls and a lightweight double stroller to leave in the car for errands . Also, if you plan on doing any jogging, the City Mini won't work and you should definitely go with the Bob. |
| Any thoughts on the bumbleride twin in comparison to the Bob Duallie and the city mini double? I've got a NB and 5 year old that loves the stroller still. Lots of errands with both kids, walks in the neighborhood and live near the beach... |
