What Unique Benefit Does Your Emploer Provide

And you or most of your coworkers get to enjoy? Health care, 401k/pension, holiday leaves are pretty standard now, but I'm curious what else is out there.

That's a great benefit! How does it work? Is it just an honor system or do you submit receipts for repairs you make?

We get a water cooler and two bathrooms that sometimes don't have watered down soap.

No, I'm not kidding.

I got graduate school paid for: 75% up front, 25% upon graduation, with no requirement that I stay at the company. They have since made this less generous...

I was going to say, backup care is not a unique benefit but it's an awesome benefit. I used it unexpectedly on Monday.

Best one I ever had was called Benetrade. The company let you trade in up to 2 weeks of vacation for use towards other benefits.

Let's say you make $100/hr (easy math). You could trade 80 hours and receive an $8,000 credit to be applied to medical insurance, STD, dependent care, transportation etc. It could not be applied to 401K.

It was nice since the company was also generous with it's vacation package.

Summer office hours. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the office closes at 3 on Fridays.

We are off for Spring break and Winter break, love it! Central office administrator, don't get summers off.

This is simply trading in 2 weeks. I get 5 weeks a year off and always cash in two weeks right around Xmas and that covers all my holiday shopping.

T-shirts in all sorts of colors. I'd really like a health plan, 401k or and a company-supplied computer or phone.
