Can I use this garlic?

Anonymous
I just bought a head of garlic that has since sprouted green shoots and has a bit of mold at the base of some of the cloves. Can I use it anyway if I just cut the mold off? I have a two-year-old, so I'm not really able/wanting to get to the store today.

It won't hurt you. The sprouty inner bits can be a little bitter, so I'd remove them.

Cut out the green (belly ache) and cut off the mold. you can use what is left of the rest of it.
