We are considering a transfer for dh to Great Britain. We have learned that we would not be paying into and not be using the national health care plan there, but that dh's employer would be providing a plan through Aetna international.
We have Aetna ppo here, not crazy about the deductible and coverage, it's been much more expensive for our family than the plan we were on with my employer before I decided to SAH. Wondering if anyone has any experience with using this plan in GB, and if it has been very expensive out of pocket for your family? Unfortunately I have a significant amount of pending dental work, it may not be possible to get it all done before we leave. So if you can speak at all to the topic of dental expenses in GB with Aetna, that would be great too. |

I can't speak to the Aetna GB plan, but I do know Aetna offers all kinds of plans and they range from awful to awesome. World Bank insurance, for exampel, is Aetna and it is really good.
Is it possible to contact one of your DH's colleagues in the UK for insights into the plan? BTW have heard National Health for dental is pretty bad. |
