Straightening lotion and flat iron protectant spray

Anyone use a straightening lotion and find it helpful? If so, which one? How about a spray or other protectant to use before the flat iron? Thanks!

Try FRIZZ (with a line through it) by Living Proof. It's unbelievable! My hair is thick and course, gray hair but I color it, and even wet humid days, my hair isn't frizzing. It doesn't wear hair down either, like some sprays-I'm really impressed. Got it at Sephora. It's new and was featured on the Today Show.

Expensive though for a little bottle

PP here-I straighten my hair with a flat iron and don't need a spray if I use frizz.

Thanks, PP. I'm definitely going to look into that. Does anyone have any luck with straightening lotions? Seems like they'd be a gimmick or bad for your hair, but I would really like some help with cutting down the flat iron time!
