I have hated our linoleum kitchen floor for 11 years. The kitchen expansion I'm craving isn't going to happen anytime soon, so I'm trying to convince my spouse to just replace the floor. It's a small galley kitchen so it's not much square footage. I'd love recommendations of materials to use! The cabinets are cherry, the walls are cream colored, and the counters are dark gray-green Silestone. The flooring in each of the two rooms that lead into the kitchen is a honey-colored oak. I am really clumsy and afraid that a tile floor would mean lots of broken glasses-- I seem to drop things all the time. I'd love something darker and/or somewhat patterned to hide stains-- the current cream-colored linoleum shows EVERYTHING and is dinged up to the point that it always looks filthy even when it's freshly mopped.
Suggestions? Thank you! |
I love my wood floors. We have white cabinets with oak floors. It's a great look.
Because you have cherry cabinets, I would get very light colored wood floors. Oak or darker would make your kitchen look like a dungeon. |
