Costco is better than all of those.

I think that Sam's Club and Giant make good cakes, but would always go for Costco over either of them.

I love a Safeway sheet cake -- yum. And cheap.

OK, I have to chime in because I seem to be one of the few that hates Costco cake.

I like Safeway the best.

Costco cakes are NASTY. Both Giant and Safeway have been fine.

Costco is consistantly better in my book. Especially if you prefer buttercream over whipped cream icing.

I also think Costco cakes are nasty. And I've never had a grocery store sheetcake that I've liked.

Just had a Harris Teeter one (Thomas) and didn't think it was worth the cost at all! Should have gone for Giant - same thing but a lot cheaper, I think.

Costco, hands down.

Safeway.

I wanted to add one that you did not mention on your list - Wegmans make a great cake and I thought it was reasonable pricing. Just wanted to throw in one more option.

Giant has consistently received only favorable raves and compliments over the years at my celebrations!
