Monsters Vs. Aliens for 4.5 year old?

Any reviews? We have friends who have taken their 4 and 5 year olds to this movie, and they say it is benign, and void of violence, but when I read the reviews that does not seem to be the case?

It is mildly violent. My four and five year olds really enjoyed the movie.

My 7 yo DS loved it, my 5yo DD was scared all the way through and didn't like it, but she did make it through the movie (on my lap). For reference, my 5yo DD liked Bolt, but was scared during the fire scene. MvA was intense all the way through the movie, rather than just at the end, and she found the constant intensity to be too much to deal with.

I just took a 2.5 yo and 4.5 yo and they both loved it. Violence was typical cartoon violence but I didn't find it terrible for the little one.

3.5 year old twins and soon to be 8 year old loved it. I didn't find it too horrible.
