Cream colored cabinets, white granite (with grey in it) and a medium to medium dark floor. What kind and color backsplash would you do? |
Can you find a pic of the type of granite? |
It's colonial white - similar to this http://fortistone.com/uploads/3/4/5/1/3451429/4203039_orig.jpg |
What color are your walls? |
Its a neutral - we are about to move in so I'm not sure on the exact color. Its definitely more grey than tan/beige but very neutral. |
That's a whole lot of neutral. I'd probably repaint the walls to add some color, and find a backsplash with that same color in it. If you don't want to repaint, you could use the backsplash to introduce a shot of color, perhaps coordinating with a color in the adjacent rooms. |
OP, I love that granite. Can you show us some pictures of the cabinets? With cream cabinets I would probably go with a white/cream subway tile. I don't think a mostly neutral room is a bad thing, depending on what is going on in the rest of the house it might compliment things very well. For example, I have a kitchen with a lot of color but the two adjoining rooms are open to it and all neutral so it works. |
