cilantro plant

Which stores have cilantro plants in stock now? Thanks!

If you don't find plants, get some seeds. They take a little time to sprout, but then grow very quickly and easily. The weather here is too hot now, though, and cilantro plants bolt and go straight to seed without filling in with leaves unless you grow them inside where it's cooler.

I recently saw cilantro plants in the Giant in the produce section. They looked quite healthy, surprisingly and were only $3.

Cilantro is a cool weather plant, so don't expect much. Try in September. Then again, if you want them for the seed (coriander), go for it. It should bolt quickly in this heat.

Harris Teeter has them in the produce section, with the other hydroponic herbs. They will bolt if planted out now though.

During peak heat periods, i bring them indoors and put in a sunny spot in my kitchen.
