Class size?

I was wondering if someone could tell me what the average class size or student/teacher ratio was for DCPS? Are they the same everywhere and the same at charters as well?

i am wondering this as well, although specifically for pre-k. i imagine it changes as kids age.

20:2 (teacher and ft aide) for prek
24:2 (ditto) for K
upper grades have a 1/3 time aide per classroom and there are anywhere from 25 to 15 (depending upon the class size as a whole).

Call your target schools. The numbers vary from school to school, so city-wide averages aren't all that meaningful.
P.S. 17:1 sounds low.
