Why are the Duggars still video capturing their lives for the public??

So now the Duggars are posting videos on their YouTube channel. Why??

Are they so obsessed with fame that they can't let go or are they clinging to the hope that the TV gravy train will come back.

I'm astonished that people think the Duggars are different than the Kardashians. Same exact kind of fame-whoring.

I think their level of attention-seeking is very similar. The Kardashians are mostly harmless though; the Duggars, not so much.

They are trying to show that all is well, as if no distress or scandal has rocked their world. At least that's what it seems to be, and they want to continue sharing their lives with those who are fans.

They really don't want their show cancelled!!! They are trying to show TLC that people are interested in their lives.

Seriously, they have a lot of people to support and no one has any marketable skills or even a high school diploma. They want to milk the tv show cash cow as long as possible.

Agree with the first part, they're trying to save the show.

At the same time, a very popular YouTube contributor doesn't need TLC to make money--you can make a lot of money from YouTube alone, so it's a dual-pronged strategy.

As for the second part, Jim Bob may not be college-educated, but he owns a small empire of varied investments, including towing businesses, commercial real estate, used car dealerships, residential real estate, construction and excavation, etc., etc.

They've got millions and millions of dollars already, no debt, and plenty of able-bodied workers. They'll be just fine.

Oh, and cell phone towers. Providing the land for a cell tower can mean a check for several thousand dollars every month, just like that, like clockwork, with no expenditures.
