| The subject says it all! |
| Carnegie Science Museum (Sportsworks is part of the museum and is very kid-friendly), Aviary, Kennywood (very old amusement park - my kids love it), baseball game at PNC Park, breakfast at Pamela's P&G Diner (strawberry hot cakes are amazing), Duck boat tour, Ride the incline at Station Square for a great view of the city. |

Children's Museum
Pittsburgh Zoo--they have a great aquarium/polar bear exhibit as well as a great playground, so it's not just the same old zoo as the one we have here |
|
Carnegie Museum of Natural History
Phipps Garden Carousel at Pitt Frick Museum to see the collection of old cars Children's Museum Sandcastle (the waterpark next to Kennywood) |

+1 for all of these including Pamela's (although there will be a wait). |
| It's an easy drive too. And impossible to really get lost imo. Although gps get a little weird sometimes |
| If you're in Oakland, eat at The Porch in Schenley Park. Also check out the Cathedral of Learning nearby at Pitt. If you're near the ball park, take the river walk around and be sure to make a stop at the City Place Steps. |
| Thanks for the great suggestions! |
| Bangkok Balcony is a great Thai place |
Ehhh never mind not a place to take kids. My bad |
| The Science Center is amazing! You should plan to spend a day there. |
| Children's museum was absolutely amazing and totally worth the trip by itself. Bring a swimsuit for your child for the water play area. (My kids are 4 and 2.) |
| A swimsuit? That's a bit overboard. Just bring a regular change of clothes in case. They give you garments to help not get too wet |
| Carnegie Museum for sure. In another day, park at Station Square. Ride the incline to the top of Mt Washington. Do a river cruise on the gateway clipper! |
