We are trying to choose a newborn photographer and are overwhelmed by the choices. We want someone who is going to deliver beautiful and technically correct photos as this is something we can't go back and do-over (went for price over quality for baby number 1 and really regretted that decision). We want someone who is professional and easy to work with, and who specializes in natural, candid looking photos (none of the over-posed baby stuff). We also want someone who is good with toddlers since we want some family pictures taken, too. Obviously we don't want to spend more than we have to, but we realize these photos will be around for a lot longer than many of the other purchases we make and so we are allowing something of a larger budget this time...
Would love recommendations for someone who is a truly talented professional and also nice to work with. Thanks. |

Ryann is absolutely the best. She is a skilled photographer and has an incredible talent for working with people and getting natural and beautiful shots. Highly recommend her. |
Seconded. But definitely not if you're looking for babies in fuzzy socks. |

We used Virginia payne and LOVED her! Our toddler loved her too - kept talking about wanting to see her again after she left. She's very nice to be around and great with kids. She' also very talented. We had used someone cheaper previously and were really disappointed in our pictures so we decided to spend some more money and went with Virginia. It was totally worth it. |
Lisa Marie of Sweet Tea Photography. She also mostly uses film, which is very forgiving post partum ![]() |
She did mine too! So good! Well worth it. |
