| I just found out I am in menopause at only 47....in talking to two different doctors, it sounds like hormone therapy makes sense at least for a couple of years. Did you take the pills or use the patch? Did you get tested for the BRCA gene first? I am getting all this thrown at me and really thought I'd have 5+ more years before I had to consider any of it. Looking for advice from others who've been in this situation. |

| If you still take BC pills, how will you know when you start menopause? I started taking them again earlier this year at 47 b/c I had really heavy periods. Now, I have a little 4 days of bleeding. |

| I thought most gyns. didn't prescribe hormone therapy anymore due to the connection to breast cancer? My mother blames her recurrent breast cancer to 15 years of hormone therapy. My gyn. won't let me near the stuff because we have so much breast cancer in my family. |
