Best resort to stay in Bethany or Rehoboth?

Looking to go away for a long weekend. I like nice resorts, preferably on the beach but short walk or drive from the beach is ok too.

Neither really has resorts. I would not call Sea Colony a resort by any stretch of the imagination.

Rehoboth: Avenue Inn and Spa
Bethany: Addy Sea

Bell Moor?

OP here. None of these resorts look very luxurious. DH wants a short drive.

Other option is Sanderling in the Outer Banks. This resort looks quaint and lovely.

OP try Salamander - no beach, but luxury.

They don't have resorts.

You can go to Ocean City and stay at the Hilton for the weekend. It's not a resort per se but it's nice enough for a weekend beach stay.

it's a 'family vacation' type of place -- not very spa-ish. There are some massage places that have opened up in the last few years - but look for another destination if that's your goal.

Who would spend $500 a night at the OBX? lol

Rehoboth: the Bellmoor. Stay in a Garden Room, on the 2d (upper) floor. DH and I stayed in Garden Rooms before DS came along. Book spa treatments. Walk down to the beach. (or I hear they are running a shuttle bus daily down to the beach now). Hang out by the family pool or the "adult" quiet pool. Eat breakfast (seriously -- the food is endless). Eat dinner out at the higher end Rehoboth restaurants. Drink wine. Etc.

Bellmoor is the only option. But it doesn't even come close to the Salamander, but no beach there.
