Can anyone give me a ballpark estimate of how much it would cost to get the exterior of my brick Colonial painted? It was already painted when I bought it and I'd like to change the color. It's very similar in size and style to this house:

Just to clarify - are you or are you not painting the brick?
Is it just the woodwork you are getting painted? |
Oh sorry. I want to get the whole house painted. The brick was already painted when we bought the house. |
A couple thousand dollars at least. |
But do you think it would be less than $10k? I've always heard exterior painting is really expensive. |
We paid $3k just to have our trim painted last summer. |
We paid $7500 to have our wood siding, trim, and shutters repainted last year, but it required a lot of prep work. Brick might be easier/cheaper (I don't know). |
I'm paying about $4,000 for my paint job |
3 to 4 |
That's outrageous |
We paid $12000 to paint the entire exterior of our house last summer. Our house is stucco, rather than brick, so I don't know how that affects the price. We also live in a lower COL area, so I would expect a higher budget in the DMV. |
