Do I have to go on vacation with family?

I have no interest, DC doesn't want to sleep away from our house, would probably mess up DC's sleep schedule. My parent wants us to go. Also concerned that mentally ill relative could spur argumentative conversation bad for DC. Am I obligated to attend?
