Ibuprofen during two week wait?

Anonymous
I've had a headache for 48 hours now (maybe the progesterone I'm taking?) and all I want to do is pop a huge fistful (not really!) of ibuprofen since that's really the only way to fix it. Tylenol is not doing the trick. Thoughts?

Fine. If you do not get pregnant, it will not be because of some ibuprofen. No need to suffer with a headache.

My doctor told me to avoid it, but if you're really suffering, you're probably safe to take 1-2 pills. Hope you feel better!

I've heard Tylenol only bc Advil/Aleve can make the uterine lining "slippery"

I had this issue last month, took Tylenol after reading that ibuprofen thins the blood and can possibly affect implantation. That's what I found online in threads, not medical advice.

Hmmm, ok. I took some once, hopefully it won't make a difference.

I avoided advil during the TTW for two years. The month I got pregnant, I thought there was NO chance I'd be pregnant (for a variety of reasons) since we had made the decision to move on to IVF. So when I had some cramping during the TWW, I thought I was just in for a hellish period and downed advil several times over the course of two days. 4 days later, BFP.

My baby is fine. Pregnancy was healthy.

No need to suffer, two advil won't make that big a difference. Try taking the minimum that will help your pain, but honestly I can't imagine it will keep you from getting pregnant.
