I need behavioral help for 4 year old ASD

My four year old is starting to get out of control. Yesterday he broke my phone... he gets mad easy and he won't listen. This has just started. He gets speech, OT and feeding once a week. I need some type of behavioral help. I was just added to the waiting list at KKI but need something a little sooner until then. Where do I start? Prefer Maryland but I'm open to DC as well. Please help.

When you say you got on the waitlist at KKI do you mean the center in Baltimore or the behavioral clinic in Columbia, MD. I would be surprised if the latter had a waitlist, but I could be incorrect.

OP here! The clinic in Columbia. They said someone would call me in four weeks to schedule... who knows when they will schedule me but it's a four week wait just to do that?

A mother of an ASD child recommended this place to me. She said it was great, but I have not personally gone here as of yet.

I did try the KKI center in Columbia and did not like it at all. I felt that the psychologist they matched me with was really inexperienced and spent the first 3 sessions I went to talking primarily to me - just giving toys to my child to play with. I just wasn't happy but I dunno... you may get a better person than I did.

Do you need to go through insurance or can you pay yourself and submit the claims yourself to insurance?

OP here - I need to go through insurance. We have Aetna.

It is so hard to find a place that takes insurance. KKI is about the only one I know of.
