During all the rain on Saturday, I noticed that our gutters were overflowing instead of draining into the downspout. Is this a problem for a roofer? Someone else? I don't know if the downspout is plugged or poorly designed or something else. |
Have your gutters and downspouts cleaned. |
This. Leaves and debris builds up in gutters. You should have them cleaned twice a year as part of the general maintenance of your house. |
We cut down all trees that were taller than our home. We don't have problems with clogged gutters anymore. |
Our gutters were the wrong grading and werect pitched correctly.
Maybe that's your situation too. |
Who did you use to correct? |
Clean out your gutters and test them with a hose. Get on a ladder to see what's happening, if your roof isn't too high.
We have water issues too - need to fix a couple lengths of gutter that aren't flowing down. |
Tree roots are better for rain water absorption. So just clean the gutters/downspouts routinely and you won't have the problem. |
We had a gutter guy come out who first noticed the problem and from there he knew a guy who fixed it. Now that I typed that, I realize that sounds sketchy. |
