I'm hoping to plan a weekend getaway for our family (we have a 21-month-old) and a few other families with toddlers. We've talked about the beach, but it seems like most of the rentals are for an entire week. Any ideas for inexpensive, family-friendly vacations -- esp. places that could accommodate 3-4 families? Three families are in the DC area, and one is in NY, so we're most interested in something between the two places.
Thanks! |
are the 3-4 families looking to share a house?
cheesy, but what about Poconos? Or central PA? |
OP here. yeah, we're hoping to find a house big enough to accommodate about 8 adults and 5 kids, ranging in age from 5 to 1. I'm open to anything -- are there big places in the Poconos? I don't know much about the area. |
19:43 again.
To be honest, I don't know too much about the Poconos except that it's a vacation destination and it's between DC and NYC ![]() Another idea would be Seven Springs but it's more in Western PA and not between NYC and DC. But they do have houses to rent (don't know if you can only rent them for the weekend or just the week). |
I was going to suggest Seven Springs too or the PA Dutch area. We've done both with a toddler and enjoyed them. |
OP here again.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to look into PA. On a side note, does anyone know of nice towns along the Chesapeake that offer group rentals? |
I don't know if you are going in the summer, but try this place near St. Michaels
