Basement with bath

Hi All-
For folks who have recently finished a basement, could I hear about how much it cost you? And things you learned or wished you'd known? We're looking to finish ours and add a bath. For reference, ours is 400 sq ft, good ceiling height, has flooring (that needs to be replaced, (oddly) has a toilet already, has an exit door. Thank you in advance! |

I am an architect and I completed a basement like the one you described. Design, materials and workmanship was about $35,000 Every basement is different and you would need either an architect, engineer or contractor to assess the existing conditions.
