I have a bag of frozen broccoli that's been languishing for months. Does anyone have a good recipe so I can just use it up? Maybe to make something like veggie burgers?
We usually just steam frozen broccoli and it's not so bad. But it's actually pretty decent mixed into other things if you chop it down some and sautee it.
Put it on baked potatoes with cheese.
chicken divan was one of my favorite childhood meals
Omelette.
Comfort food alert: a couple cups of leftover steamed white rice, cup of cheddar cheese, couple dollops of sour cream (or half a can of some Campbell's cream soup) and broccoli and then bake for 20 minutes until everything is hot and gooey.
Broccoli quiche
soup
throw it in mac and cheese
I cut up broccoli small and throw it in the pot to cook with the pasta, then drain and toss with some eggs and shredded parmesan and romano cheese. Pasta carbonara with veggies.
I would either make broccoli cheddar baked potatoes or broccoli fritters.
It can go into fried rice, or quiche, or omelets. (Same for other leftover veggies.)
Yummy. I am making a note of this. It sounds delicious. |
Toss (still frozen) with some olive oil and salt. Roast at 425 until a little bit crispy and browned. Yum.
