Good extracurricular a with leadership roles. Her SAT scores are high -- over 2300. What would be a good college for a bright kid with some learning/executive function issues? At this point we want to be open in terms of geography and size. |
| Don't know about the executive function piece, but I know that the University of California doesn't look at grades from Freshman year. |

Is she interested in a small liberal arts college?
Dickinson in Pennsylvania comes to mind. A lot depends on what she is looking for. |

Colleges, in general, are more forgiving of bad freshman grades followed by good sophomore and junior grades- especially with an explanation in the counselor recommendation. I would talk to your DD's school counselor - that is one of the things private schools are supposed to excel.
