I am looking for PEVA tablecloths and they are very hard to find. I have checked HomeGoods, Walmart, etc. and I can't find what I am looking for. Any suggestions on where to find these? Thanks! |
What's PEVA? |
It's a type of non-smelling plastic. Most tablecloths are either vinyl or cloth. Well cloth is annoying because you have to keep washing it. Vinyl is easier to clean with a sponge but smells awful. PEVA is similar to vinyl but no smell. I have used many PEVA tablecloths in the past and really like them. But they are hard to find. |
Would this do?
Vermont Country Store sells oilcloth tablecloths: http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/store/jump/productDetail/Home/Kitchen_&_Dining/Table_Linens/Heavy_Duty_Oilcloth_Tablecloths/55098 |
I did a Google search and Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart and Amazon came up for PEVA tablecloths. Fabric stores like Hancock Fabrics and G Street have some tablecloth plastics and oilcloth on bolts that they sell by the yard. I've used vinyl tablecloths and found that if left out fully opened, the smell dissipates within a couple of days. Of course it's better to leave it in a well-ventilated out-of-the-way space until then. |

Old fashioned coated tablecloths like grandma's? Ayers Hawdware in Westover Arlington sells the cloth on rolls by the foot. |
