Did anyone take vitamin B6 to help with the nausea? Did it help?
Is it safe to take that on top of a prenatal? |
My doctor prescribed B6 and Benedryl for morning sickness. I never took it. But I always take a B50 complex that has additional B6 in it. B's are water soluable vitamins so the excess is excreted in your urine (hence, bright yellow pee). It's very safe unless you seriously overdose on it.
I took B6, I think on top of the prenatal (when I could choke the prenatal down). It was the ONLY thing that helped.
My doctor prescribed B6 and Unisom for nausea. Personally I always skipped the Unisom part, but took the B6. I think that it helped with the nausea in pregnancy #2, but for pregnancy #3 I need to stronger drugs (including a zofran pump and 3 day hospital stay)
I'm 21 weeks and have been taking B6 in the a.m. and evening, as indicated by my doctor. It helped curb my nausea which was awful for the three and a half months. Now it's almost totally gone, but if I skip a couple days of the B6 it's worse. So I'd say it worked for me. Good luck! Also the SeaBands helped me.
