Where do you buy craft supplies in large quantities--Michaels, AC Moores, JoAnne Fabric that's the least expensive? Things like paper, beads, yarn, etc. for a kids craft birthday party. TIA.
|
| I'd start at the dollar store -- they have stickers and other party supplies. |
| If you needs lots of cheap craft materials Oriental Trading Co. catalog sells cheap craft stuff, you can get beads, stickers, etc by the gross. Good for kids crafts. |
| Discount School Supply! |
Is this online or a brick and mortar? |
| For the things you are mentioning, I like Michael's or AC Moore. I am a big fan of Joann's but they are more of a grown up crafts store. Oriental Trading is good for pre-set projects, but not random supplies. You can sign up for coupons online. |

Agree with PP...dollar store, but specifically Dollar General.
|
| 21:48 and Dollar Tree, with a slight preference for DT. |
| It may be a a PITA, but each store has a 40-60% off coupon once a week - so I run in and get one item when I'm getting groceries or something nearby. I've built up a hefty variety and quantity of supplies this way. They all honor each other's coupons, so if michaels has the best one for the week, but I'm going to a store near ac Moore, I can use it. Also michaels and ac give you a follow up coupon from the register with every purchase. finally, Jo Ann's will let you use unlimited coupons, so if you have 5 items, you can use 5 coupons from any craft store. |
| Dollar store - but a real dollar store, where everything actually costs a dollar. Otherwise you'll spend a fortune. Save the real craft store for things like Littles bottles of cheap acrylic paint, and for grown folks' crafts. |
Online. They also have great outdoor supplies--cones, balls, etc. |

Some Walmart locations have a pretty good craft supply section. Otherwise, I go to Michael's or Joann's. Occasionally I check out Hobby Lobby but (surprise surprise) that place is kind of weird.
For bulk online supplies, check out Rhode Island Novelty or Oriental Trading Company. |
