Best time to leave for Williamsburg on a Friday evening?

I have seen Friday rush hour start at noon now on 95 southbound, so maybe 7 PM will work?

Later is probably better. We left last Friday at 1pm (from Baltimore). Took old Indian highway (I think) from 495 thru Charles county and it dumped us out at 301 la plata area, we took 301 to 17 which I much prefer to the 95/64 route. No cars at all on 17. Honestly I did whatever google maps told me to but knew I didn't want to do the 95 route (which turns out there was an accident)

That is a good route, I have done that before. The 301 bridge is what, six bucks now?

Cops tend to hide all over 17, but other than that, it's a great route.
