Inexpensive furniture that is delivered already-assembled to your house

Anonymous
It would be for a tween bedroom, so I don't want to spend a lot. Full bed, dresser, desk, and a bookshelf. A lot of websites seem to deliver it to your curb or (like Ikea) you have to assemble it. I could go with Ikea and pay someone else to assemble but at that point, it seems like you are spending so much that you could have bought something decent. ?

If you can buy stuff off Craigslist and hire someone like task rabbit to deliver it, you'll get pretty nice stuff for a good price, already assembled. I've done it in the past with great luck, and then when I was sick of it - usually able to sell it for what I bought it for.

OP-so did you buy it sight unseen, or did you go over to the craiglist seller's house first, then hire the task rabbit person to go pick it up and deliver it?

and how much did the task rabbit guy charge? thanks I have seen stuff I like on CL.

Also, with bedroom furniture...would you be worried about bed bugs?

Bed bugs live inthe linens not the wood, so just leave it alone without any mattress or linens.

Plenty of peopel who will assemble and deliver Ikea furniture for a reasonable price.

Went over to see it, paid the seller, and arranged for when someone could pick it up.

How did you trust them by paying before picking up?
