We are renovating a small hall bathroom. To make the space seem larger, we originally were going to go with a pedestal sink. I am having second thoughts about this and am trying to find a vanity <24 inches wide, and < 18 inches deep. My contractor found something but it is made of particle board and I don't want that! They have a cute european vanity that is the right measurements at Lowe's, but it is also particle board.
I've looked at Signature Hardware online and Decor Planet online, but the prices are too high for our budget. Please let me know of any other possibilities! Thanks in advance. |
This one from Ikea is just under 24 inches.
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39894169/ There are some 24 inch choices here from Vintage Tub and Bath: http://www.vintagetub.com/bathroom/bathroom-vanities/single-sink-vanities.html?p=1&vanity_width=2183 If you really have to go below 24 inches and don't want particle board, you will have to pay a lot for a speciality item. I'd consider a pedestal sink. Here is one from VTB that is 20 inches: http://www.vintagetub.com/bathroom/bathroom-sinks/pedestal-sinks/cheviot-small-mayfair-pedestal-sink-lavatory-c511swh4-s.html I knew exactly where to go as I have just 19 inches--could stretch to 20 inches--to fit in a sink. Am considering the pedestal sink above. |

These are great ideas, thanks! |
You can get a custom cabinet made. Or find a piece of furniture to convert. There are some tiny sinks available. |
Could you consider a floating counter with a shelf installed underneath instead. Very roomy look and makes cleaning the bathroom easier especially if you have a wall mount faucet. |
OP here,
Thanks everyone. These are great suggestions. I found this online: http://www.wayfairsupply.com/Simpli-Home-Chelsea-21%25E2%2580%259D-Single-Bathroom-Vanity-Set-HHV029H-QSI1307.html Does anyone have experience with this company? Plus I have to find out if my contractor would let me order something not from his usual suppliers. |
We love our IKEA Vanity. Small scale, good quality, great storage. |
IKEA hemnes. Love it |
OP. PP also in the market--looks like a pretty good choice. I was considering seeing if I could possibly stretch to 21 inches in my space when I saw this is out of stock until December! Back to the hunt... |
op here: oh noooo, i didnt notice that! good luck! do u know of any showrooms in the area that might have smaller vanities in stock, like maybe fergusons? |
It's in stock now. |
OP, I like Wayfair. Your link is to the Wayfair contractors' site though, so likely your contractor would need to order it from there. However, it's the same price on the regular site: http://www.wayfair.com/Simpli-Home-Chelsea-21%25E2%2580%259D-Single-Bathroom-Vanity-Set-HHV029H-QSI1307.html |
OP here, thanks for pointing that out! I will check it out today. |
